Summary

Northbound view of Wadi Kelah on Mount Carmel, Israel, May 7, 2013. Haifa University can be seen on the mountain ahead. On the left blooms the Madonna Lily (Lilium candidum L.) in its typical habitat of hard limestone cliffs. A mature maquis dominated by Quercus calliprinos grows in the Wadi. On the ridges grow Pinus halepensis trees. In the foreground appear, from left to right, Pistacia lentiscus, Phillyrea latifolia and Ruta chalepensis. On the far left appears Pistacia palaestina.
