Summary

Engraving of the office building for the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manchester_Union_Democrat" class="extiw" title="w:Manchester Union Democrat">Manchester Union Democrat</a> and the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Campbell_%26_Hanscom" class="extiw" title="w:Campbell & Hanscom">Campbell & Hanscom</a> firm, its publisher, in the city of <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manchester,_New_Hampshire" class="extiw" title="w:Manchester, New Hampshire">Manchester</a>, <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Hampshire" class="extiw" title="w:New Hampshire">New Hampshire</a>. Scanned from an advertisement on the back cover of the 1877 town report for <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goffstown,_New_Hampshire" class="extiw" title="w:Goffstown, New Hampshire">Goffstown</a>. Records indicate that the original office, which occupied the Union building over the Manchester National Bank at the corner of Elm and Market street, was destroyed along with many other downtown buildings during a fire on July 8th 1870. Campbell & Hanscom constructed a new building that was completed in 1874 so presumably this engraving depicts that 1874 building.
