Summary

House in Middle Pickering Rural Historic District, on the NRHP since September 6, 1991. HD is bounded by Pikeland (south) , Yellow Springs (south), Merlin (west) , Church (east) , and Pickering Roads (north) in Charlestown Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania, extending into East and West Pikeland Townships in northern Chester County. This particular house is on Pickering Road, just north of the Oskar Stonorov House (listed separately on the NRHP and also part of the district). I suspect the house was owned by urban planner Edmund Bacon (father of Kevin Bacon) with part of it added by Stonorov (see horizontal porch on the right and modern style rooms on the back of the house). Datestone near the peak of the roof says "1823 B"
