Summary

The <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Order_of_the_Eastern_Star" class="extiw" title="en:Order of the Eastern Star">Order of the Eastern Star</a> logo as shown on a porcelain cup and saucer. This form of the logo, displayed as a <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/pentagram" class="extiw" title="en:pentagram">pentagram</a>, seems to have been the most common form until it was superseded with <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Oes_GGC_color.PNG" class="extiw" title="en:Image:Oes GGC color.PNG">this form</a> in which the central pentagon has been twisted by 36°. Many examples of the older form of the logo can be found on a wide variety of objects, as seen <a rel="nofollow" class="external text" href="http://www.rainbow.org/mem5.html">here</a>, for example. This particular image was based on <a rel="nofollow" class="external text" href="http://www.rainbow.org/images/OESSaucer-close.jpg">this photo</a> of a saucer, substantially retouched by <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Fuzzypeg" class="extiw" title="en:User:Fuzzypeg">me</a> (without altering the distinguishing features of the logo), and I release it to the public domain.
