The hovercraft, Christina, was built in 2000 for the Lithuanian State Border Police (Pasienio Policija), which had been established in 1996 to serve as a form of <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coast_Guard" class="extiw" title="w:Coast Guard">Coast Guard</a> (Pakrančių Apsauga).
