This block of 3rd is part of the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ponca_Historic_District" class="extiw" title="w:Ponca Historic District">Ponca Historic District</a>, which is listed in the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Register_of_Historic_Places" class="extiw" title="w:National Register of Historic Places">National Register of Historic Places</a>. At right is the Bank of Dixon County, built in <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richardsonian_Romanesque_architecture" class="extiw" title="w:Richardsonian Romanesque architecture">Richardsonian Romanesque</a> style in 1901. The building east of it, now occupied by the BDC Insurance Agency, is the Halstead Commercial Building, built in 1886.
