Summary

This is from the base of the silo looking straight up the column of silo doors. Due to the extremely limited space, the frame of each door forms two rungs of a steel ladder. – The exterior shroud is made from steel for fall protection, but has opaque fiberglass sections every 20 ft to allow ambient outdoor light into the tunnel. – On the right is the large black power cable for the silo unloader and the yellow silage drop tube used for unloading the silo. Along the length of the yellow drop tube are a series of access hatches to allow insertion of a silage drop spout.
