Painted limestone Sphinx of <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/en:Hetepheres_II" class="extiw" title="w:en:Hetepheres II">Hetepheres II</a>, a daughter of <a href="//commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Khufu_(pharaoh)&action=edit&redlink=1" class="new" title="Khufu (pharaoh) (page does not exist)">Khufu</a> and royal princess of Egypt during the <a href="//commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Fourth_dynasty_of_Egypt&action=edit&redlink=1" class="new" title="Fourth dynasty of Egypt (page does not exist)">fourth dynasty of Egypt</a>, who became the queen of Egypt. The statue was found at the site of the pyramid of <a href="//commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Djedefre&action=edit&redlink=1" class="new" title="Djedefre (page does not exist)">Djedefre</a> at <a href="//commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Abu_Rawash&action=edit&redlink=1" class="new" title="Abu Rawash (page does not exist)">Abu Rawash</a>. He was a half-brother of hers who married her to become pharaoh after her earlier husband, Kawab, died. This statue is considered by some to be the first example of a Sphinx and is in the collection of the Cairo Museum
