Summary
The Church of St Matthew with St Jude, Brixton, South London, dates from the 1820's. When my father started at the parish primary school in 1911, it was in Surrey. The church is one of several designed by C F Porden (1790-1863). Amongst those he designed, St Matthew's is unusual in having its tower at the west end.
