Summary

Also known as a boilerman or a stoker, the 'fireman' is the person who tends the fire for the running of a steam engine. This chap had been working on the Embsay & Bolton Abbey Steam Railway locomotive from around 6am and was looking forward to getting off duty when I saw him, sometime around 4pm. "Ready for ten pints and a Sunday roast", as he put it!
