Photo of a <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stone_spheres_of_Costa_Rica" class="extiw" title="en:Stone spheres of Costa Rica">stone sphere of Costa Rica</a> by <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:WAvegetarian" class="extiw" title="en:User:WAvegetarian">Connor Lee</a>. Taken in March 2004 and released under terms of the GNU FDL. This sphere is in the rooftop courtyard of the national museum or Museo Nacional in <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/San_Jose,_Costa_Rica" class="extiw" title="en:San Jose, Costa Rica">en:San Jose, Costa Rica</a>. It is part of the extensive collection of pre-Columbian artifacts at the museum. The Museo Nacional is housed in the Fuerte Bellevista, translated into English: "fort with a beautiful view." It is Castilian and was constructed in 1887. It was the scene of a major battle and still shows countless gun shot holes from the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Costa_Rica_Civil_War" class="extiw" title="en:Costa Rica Civil War">Civil War</a> in 1948.
