Summary

Picture of the Community Center in the Thornburg Historic District of Thornburg, Pennsylvania, on November 14, 2009. There is a sign on the Community Center that says the following: "Thornburg National Register Historic District - Thornburg is a creation of 1899, when Frank and David Thornburg formed the Thornburg Land Company to develop 250 acres of hillside farmland. In 1982, Lower Thornburg was designated a National Historic District. It is notable as a document of the nationwide movement in community planning and landscape design at the turn of the century." I saw many nice, old homes in Thornburg. Also, it seemed that all of the streets were named after well-known colleges. Thornburg Historic District is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
