Summary
Schematic for an elemental length of <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/transmission_line" class="extiw" title="w:transmission line">transmission line</a>. The elements R, L, G, and C are understood to be values per unit of transmission line length. The actual transmission line behavior is found in the limit as the length of the elemental circuit is decreased, but the number of elements connected together increases to represent the total length of the line.
