Summary
Several UH-3H Sea Kings from Helicopter Combat Support Squadron 85, a Naval Reserve Helicopter squadron based in San Diego, California participate in civil aerial fire fighting certification during the 2003 Firestorm in Southern California. Operations were conducted from San Diego's Montgomery Field (note the San Diego Fire Departments UH-1 in the right background). HC-85 aircrews were required to demonstrate aerial fire fighting capabilities to validate a joint civil and military emergency action plan. U.S Navy photo by Photographer's Mate 1st Class Michael D.
