(Cussans, John, Handbook of Heraldry, 2nd Edition, London, 1868, p.47<a rel="nofollow" class="external autonumber" href="https://archive.org/stream/handbookofherald00cuss_0/handbookofherald00cuss_0_djvu.txt">[1]</a>, p.92). These are a difference of the arms of Fane, Earls of Westmorland which show three dexter gauntlets back affrontée, with identical tinctures.
