Summary

Das Wappen des Lahn-Dill-Kreises wurde am verliehen und ist aus zwei Teilen der Wappen der früher selbständigen Kreise <a href="https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kreis_Wetzlar" class="extiw" title="de:Kreis Wetzlar">Wetzlar</a> und <a href="https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dillkreis" class="extiw" title="de:Dillkreis">Dillkreis</a> zusammengesetzt worden.
Im oberen Teil symbolisiert der Doppeladler die ehemals Freie Reichsstadt <a href="//commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Wetzlar" title="Category:Wetzlar">Wetzlar</a>; im unteren Teil stehen das Jagdhorn und der Löwe für das frühere <a href="https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:House_of_Nassau" class="extiw" title="de:Category:House of Nassau">Fürstentum Nassau</a>. <a rel="nofollow" class="external autonumber" href="http://www.lahn-dill-kreis.de/ldk_internet_universal_de_63148.html">[1]</a>
