| Purpose of use |
To identify "Weird Al"'s personal appearance in his earlier musical career - specifically, his glasses (which he no longer needs due to LASIK surgery), moustache (which he shaved off) and his afro-style hairdo (now more a dreadlocks style). This version of Al is what many people (see article) uniquely associate with the artist. |

While Weird Al is alive, he has significantly altered his normal appearance such that to capture his unique image prior to 1998 would not be easily to capture in a free media form today. There may exist photos and other materials created prior to 1998 that could be free content that would show these features clearly, but none as yet have been found. |
