Florentine dialect

The Florentine language or Florentine dialect is the language spoken in the Italian city of Florence. It is a form of Tuscan dialect. A received pedagogical variant of this language called la pronuncia fiorentina emendata (literally, "amended Florentine pronunciation") was officially prescribed as the national language of the Kingdom of Italy when it was established in 1861.
