Francesco Rizzo (footballer)

Francesco Rizzo (born 30 May 1943) is a retired Italian footballer.

Career

Born in Rovito, Rizzo began playing football with Cosenza. After spells with Milan and Alessandria, he joined Cagliari where he would make his Serie A debut against Fiorentina on 29 November 1964.[1]

During his club career he played for Cosenza Calcio 1914, U.S. Alessandria Calcio 1912, Cagliari Calcio, A.C. Fiorentina, Bologna F.C. 1909, F.C. Catanzaro, A.C. Cesena and Genoa C.F.C.. He earned 2 caps and scored 2 goals for the Italy national football team in 1966,[2] and was part of the Italian squad for the 1966 FIFA World Cup.
