Frank Edelblut is a New Hampshire businessman and politician[1] serving in the New Hampshire House of Representatives. Since being elected in 2014, Edelblut has represented the people of Hillsborough County District 38, which includes the towns of Antrim, Bennington, Francestown, Greenville, Greenfield, Hancock, Hillsborough, Lyndeborough, Wilton and Windsor. He serves on the Finance Committee,[2] Special Committee on Pensions[3] and the Child and Family Law Committee.[4] Edelblut also serves as a Water Commissioner for the Town of Wilton.[1] He is a member of the Republican Party, and is a candidate for Governor of New Hampshire in 2016.[5]

Education
Edelblut attended the University of Rhode Island where he earned a Bachelor of Science, Business Administration – Accounting in 1983. Edelblut also holds a Masters of Theological Studies from the Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology, 2015.[1]
Professional career
Edelblut started his career as an auditor for PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in South Florida (Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and West Palm Beach) where he worked as a Certified Public Accountant auditing a variety of businesses.[6] He then briefly worked as the CFO for one of his PwC clients, Niagara Corp.,[6] before launching a business of his own, Control Solutions.[6] Control Solutions was sold to Altran. Edelblut left Control Solutions/Altran in 2009, and joined a Boston based angel investment group called Common Angels (now Converge Venture Partners).[7][8] In 2013 he left Common Angels and now does early-stage investing on his own.[1]
Political career
Edelblut serves on the Finance Committee,[2] Special Committee on Pensions[3] and on the Child and Family Law committee.[4]
Edelblut was the prime sponsor of a number of bills in 2016, including bills on Net Metering, Freedom of Speech on college campuses, arming otherwise-unarmed New Hampshire National Guard facilities,[9] supporting the ability of members of the military to wear dress uniforms in graduation ceremonies, and several measures in the family court to try to reduce conflict in already difficult divorce proceedings.[10]
Personal life
Edelblut has been married for 30 years[11] and has seven children.[12] Three are college graduates, two are currently in college, and two are still at home. All of his children have been home educated.[13] Edelblut also has two grandchildren.[13]
Edelblut has competed in triathlons[14] and Nordic ski racing,[15] including biathlon.[16]
Edelblut has studied French and Spanish.[1]
