List of Big Brother 14 HouseGuests (U.S.)

Twelve houseguests were announced to be competing in the fourteenth edition of the American reality television series Big Brother were announced on July 5, 2012. Each week, one or more of the houseguests are evicted by votes by the remaining houseguests until the winner is left. Four former houseguests were added to the season as coaches. On Day 27, the coaches entered the game as HouseGuests.

Ashley

Ashley Iocco (born 1985), 29, originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, is the owner of a mobile spray-tanning company in West Hollywood, California called Bronzique. Ashley describes herself as vivacious, loving, charismatic, and enthusiastic. Her favorite activities include hiking, yoga, making dream boards, sunbathing, swimming, snowboarding, and boating. Ashley's strategy coming into the Big Brother house was to play everyone, come off as a ditzy blonde but take it to the end because she's actually really smart and good at reading through people's lies. Ashley studied elementary education at Penn State. She is highly spiritual and loves to engage in yoga as seen many times on the live feeds. Janelle Pierzina was her coach for the first three weeks. Ashley's former teammates were Wil and Joe. Ashley was close with Jenn, Ian, Wil and Frank. On Day 14, Janelle won the second "coaches competition" of the season, and chose to give Ashley immunity for the week. On Day 21, Ashley was nominated for eviction, alongside Joe. When HoH Shane won the Power of Veto, he chose to use it on Ashley, saving her that week. Ashley was a part of the all-girls "alliance" along with Danielle, Janelle and Britney called the "-Ixie Girls." Ashley's moniker within the group was "Trixie." Ashley is in an alliance with Wil and Jenn, called "Team Tits." Ashley is part of an all-girls alliance with Britney, Danielle and Jenn called "Junk Punch Tuesday." Ashley was seen to have a flirtmance with Ian, but broke up with him for Frank. This came back to bite her because on Day 48 when, as part of a Double Eviction, Ian nominated Ashley and Frank for eviction. Ashley was evicted on Day 48, earning 9th place, and became the 1st jury member of the season. Ashley voted for Ian to win Big Brother.

Britney

Britney Elizabeth Haynes (born 1987), 27, is a pharmaceutical sales representative originally from Huntington, Arkansas. She previously competed in Big Brother 12, where she placed fourth. Britney is married. She was the coach of Willie, Shane, and JoJo for the first three weeks of the game. Britney is the closest to Ian and Danielle in the house. Britney's closest female friend in the house was Danielle. Britney had a former alliance with fellow coach Janelle during the first few weeks. Britney seemed to have a very up and down, tension-filled relationship with Janelle in the house. Britney was part of an all-girls group along with Danielle, Janelle and Ashley called the "Ixie Girls." Britney's epithet within the group was "Bixie." Britney was part of a strong core four-person alliance called "SQuad," which consisted of herself, Danielle, Shane and Dan. Britney was a part of "The Silent Six" alliance which also included Dan, Danielle, Shane, Frank and Boogie. Britney was also a part of an alliance called "The Quack Pack," which also includes Dan, Danielle, Shane and Ian. Britney was part of an all-girls alliance with Danielle, Ashley and Jenn called "Chunk Bunch Tuesday." Britney is in an alliance with Danielle called "Alpha, Omega, Bye." Britney was a part of an alliance with Danielle, Dan, Shane, and Joe called the "Head Hunters." When Britney's team won the first Head of Household competition, she was responsible for choosing which member of her team earned the HoH title for the week; she chose Willie. On Day 14, Willie was expelled from the game after a physical altercation with Joe, leaving Britney with only two HouseGuests. On Day 20, JoJo was evicted from the house, leaving Shane as Britney's only remaining player. On Day 27, Britney and the other coaches entered the game as HouseGuests. On Day 41, during the HoH competition "Swamped," Britney won "safety" for the week, meaning she earned immunity from being nominated and being evicted for the week. On Day 52, Britney was nominated alongside her ally and friend, Danielle after Jenn used the Veto to save Dan off of the block. On Day 55, Britney was evicted by a vote of 4–1, only receiving Ian's vote, and became the 2nd jury member. She came in 8th place and voted for Ian to win Big Brother.

In February 2013, Haynes announced that she and her husband were expecting their first child, a girl due in July 2013. They welcomed their daughter, Tilly Elizabeth Godwin on July 13, 2013.

Dan

Daniel "Dan" Robert Gheesling (born September 1, 1983), 31, is a teacher at a Catholic high school called Orchard Lake St. Mary's Preparatory School and an assistant football coach from Dearborn, Michigan. Dan is married and is a devout Catholic. He was the winner of Big Brother 10. Due to his excellent strategy, his great manipulation skills, and his quiet charm and charisma, Dan has been frequently compared to Big Brother 2's and Big Brother 7's Dr. Will Kirby and Survivor's Boston Rob Mariano. Due to Dan's social game, many houseguests were often unaware of Dan's power of persuasion and manipulation, especially when engaging in a one-on-one conversation with him. Dan is known to keep his emotions heavily under wraps while playing the game and therefore, many people view Dan as emotionless and robotic. Dan is known to involve the subject of his faith and religion in the house, including swearing on the bible or on a cross, which has managed to offend some of his house guests as well as many viewers. Other than his swearing on his faith, Dan has also frequently sworn on his family, especially on his wife, Chelsea. Dan was the coach of Danielle, Kara, and Jodi for the first three weeks of the game. On Day 1, Dan's team came in last place in the first Head of Household competition, meaning he had to evict one member of his group. He chose to evict Jodi. On Day 13, Kara was evicted from the house, leaving Danielle as Dan's only remaining player. As her coach, Dan was seen to have a rather paternal, parent-child relationship with Danielle and was overly protective of her,. However, although they were initially close, their relationship became rather tumultuous and chaotic, with Dan often blindsiding Danielle, causing the two to frequently separate, bicker or argue and then reconcile almost immediately afterwards (with Danielle instantly forgiving Dan after he betrays or hurts her). Dan's relationship or alliance with Danielle was one of the most frequently talked about relationships of the season. Many viewers responded negatively to their relationship; some, particularly live feed watchers, calling it "emotionally draining or exhausting" to watch. Dan once compared his relationship with Danielle to that of the relationship between Cain and Abel. Due to the endless betrayals conducted by Dan towards Danielle. Dan is generally seen to be rather sociable, and gets along with almost everyone in the house and therefore, he has built and developed connections with almost every houseguest this season, whether negative, neutral or positive. Aside from Danielle, Dan has rather close bonds with Kara, Janelle, Ian, Jenn and Britney. On Day 27, Dan and the other three coaches entered the game as HouseGuests. Dan was part of a strong core four-person alliance called "SQuad," which consisted of himself, Danielle, Britney and Shane. Dan was a part of "The Silent Six" alliance which also included Danielle, Britney, Shane, Frank and Boogie. He was also a part of an alliance called "The Quack Pack," which also included Danielle, Britney, Shane and Ian. He was a part of an alliance with Danielle, Britney, Shane, and Joe called the "Head Hunters." On Day 49, Dan was nominated for eviction alongside his former player and ally, Danielle. When Jenn won the Power of Veto, Dan was able to manipulate his way off the block by hosting his own Big Brother funeral and revealing to Frank his "Quack Pack" alliance and throwing his former allies, Britney and Ian, under the bus. Dan then formed a final four alliance with Danielle, Frank and Jenn called "Last Call Crew." Dan and Danielle decided to call their two-person alliance "The Surgeons." Frank believed Dan after he swore on the bible and as a result, was able to convince Frank's closest ally, Jenn to use the Power of Veto on him and make Britney the target and replacement nominee in attempts to save not only himself but his closest ally Danielle. Dan is currently the last remaining coach left standing in the game after Britney was evicted on Day 55. On Day 57, Dan won his first Power of Veto competition and became the first coach to win a competition since they came into the game. On Day 59, Dan used the Veto to save his ally, Jenn from the block and she was replaced with Joe. On Day 62, Dan won his first HoH competition of the season. He nominated Ian and Joe for eviction. After Ian won Veto, Dan replaced Ian with his closest ally, Danielle. Danielle survived eviction for the third time when Joe was evicted by a unanimous 3–0 vote. On Day 68, Dan was nominated alongside Ian for eviction by his closest ally, Danielle. When Danielle won the final Power of Veto, Dan convinced her to use the veto on him by telling her he would evict Ian, and keep the blood off Shane's hands. On Day 69, Danielle did use the Veto on Dan and he then blindsided her, Shane, and Ian by evicting Shane. Following Dan's blindside of Shane, Dan won Part 1 of the final HoH competition. On Day 75, Ian won the final HoH of the season and chose to take Dan to the final two. Ultimately Dan finished in second place, receiving only Danielle's vote to win the game for a second time.

Despite not winning, he was recognized by many former Big Brother players, including Janelle and Mike as one of the best players ever.

Dan is currently friends with Ian, Frank, Ashley, Janelle, Britney, and Kara. He has also mended fences and is now friends with his former player, Danielle.

Danielle

Danielle Alexis Murphree (born 1989), 26, is a nurse originally from Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Danielle describes herself as loving, outgoing and passionate. Her favorite activities include dancing, photography, scrapbooking, working out, swimming and anything that is physical or keeps her active. Danielle's strategy coming into the Big Brother house was to be considered someone that isn't a threat and someone that doesn't seem very smart. Danielle's fears are snakes, dying young, heights and never finding her true love. Her biggest accomplishment she's most proud of is graduating nursing school and passing her NCLEX on her first try. Danielle is an LPN. She is currently attending the University of Alabama and is currently earning a Bachelor of Science in Health Services. Danielle is a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority. Danielle is the youngest female houseguest this season. She is often referred to as a "southern belle," mainly by the other house guests. Based on pre-season, Danielle was compared to Big Brother 11's Jordan Lloyd, with some implying that Danielle would be a possible 'Jordan-type' player. Earlier on in the game, Dan occasionally compared Danielle and his relationship with her to that of his Big Brother 10 ally, Memphis Garrett. Upon entering the house, Danielle chose to keep the truth about her occupation, telling the other HouseGuests that she was a kindergarten teacher instead of a nurse in the medical field. However, the only house guests who know about Danielle's true occupation are Dan and Britney, although Boogie has speculated that Danielle is either a medical student or a nurse. However, Danielle later revealed to Shane that she was a nurse. Dan Gheesling was her coach for the first three weeks of the game. Danielle's teammates were Kara and Jodi. Danielle has a close friendship and alliance with Shane in the house. However, despite the pair just being friends, they are also often seen as a "flirtmance" or even a "showmance" by some of the other house guests, namely Dan, Ian, Britney, Joe, Frank, and Jenn. Shane and Danielle's relationship or showmance has been compared to Big Brother 11's Jeff Schroeder and Jordan Lloyd and Big Brother 12's Brendon Villegas and Rachel Reilly by some viewers. Most talked about other than Danielle's show mance with Shane was Danielle's chaotic, unpredictable yet exciting relationship with her former coach, Dan. During Dan's time as Danielle's coach, they seemed to share somewhat of a parent-child type relationship, mostly due to Dan's overprotectiveness (and to some, even control) of Danielle. This has been noted by some of the house guests as well as both Dan and Danielle themselves. Although Dan and Danielle appeared to have a close, genuine bond at the beginning of the season, their relationship in the house seemed to have soured rather drastically after Dan orchestrated his own funeral in attempts to get himself off the bloc, in which Dan threw Danielle under the bus in front of the entire house. Danielle seemed to have a chaotic relationship with Dan due to Dan constantly betraying her by blindsiding her frequently. However, despite the many times Dan had betrayed Danielle throughout the game and how many times they argued, Danielle would almost immediately forgive Dan for all the betrayals. Because of this, some viewers have referred to Dan and Danielle's relationship as "unhealthy" and "abusive." Danielle also had a close friendship with Britney, with Danielle referring to Britney as her best girlfriend in the house. She also had close bonds with Jenn, Wil, and Kara. Danielle was the houseguest with the most alliances within the house. Danielle was a part of "The Three Amigos" alliance, the very first official alliance of the season, which consisted of herself, Shane and Frank. Danielle was part of a strong core four-person alliance called "SQuad," which consisted of herself, Britney, Shane and Dan. She was a part of the all-girls group along with Britney, Janelle and Ashley called the "Ixie Girls." Danielle's appellation within the group was "Dixie." She was part of "The Silent Six" alliance which also included Dan, Britney, Shane, Frank and Boogie. She was a part of an alliance called "The Quack Pack," which also included Dan, Britney, Shane and Ian. She was part of an all-girls alliance with Britney, Ashley and Jenn called "Chunk Bunch Tuesday." She was also in an alliance with Britney called "Alpha, Omega, Bye." Danielle was a part of an alliance with Dan, Britney, Shane, and Joe called the "Head Hunters." She was nominated for eviction on Day 17 against JoJo, as a replacement nominee for Shane. On Day 20, however, Danielle survived the eviction in a five to one vote. On Day 27, Danielle became the fourth Head of Household, after winning the endurance competition called "Walk The Plank," which lasted for nearly four hours. She is the first and only female HouseGuest of the season to win the HoH title. In the same week, Danielle also won the Golden Power of Veto, becoming the first female of the season to win the Veto and the first HouseGuest other than Shane (who has won three Veto's in a row) to win it. On Day 49, Danielle was nominated for eviction alongside her former coach and ally, Dan. Her former coach Dan arranged a house meeting and threw Danielle under the bus in front of everyone in attempts of Danielle gaining sympathy from the other house guests as a form of strategy. Dan then informed Danielle that the bad blood between him and Danielle was fake. Afterwards, Danielle formed a secret final four alliance with Dan, Frank and Jenn called "Last Call Crew." She also formed a two person alliance with Dan called "The Surgeons." Danielle, along with Frank, convinced Jenn to use the Veto in order to save Dan on the block. On Day 52, Danielle was on the block alongside her ally, Britney. On Day 55, Danielle survived eviction by a 4–1 vote, which resulted in the eviction of Britney. On Day 62, Danielle shook on a final three deal with Dan and Jenn, swearing on their mothers to take each other to the final three no matter what. On Day 62, Danielle's closest ally, Dan, who had won HoH, had named Danielle as the replacement nominee. Danielle survived eviction for the third consecutive time when Joe was evicted by a unanimous 3–0 vote. On Day 64, Danielle was the replacement nominee after Shane removed himself from the block. On Day 67, Danielle survived eviction again when Jenn was evicted by a unanimous 2–0 vote. After, Danielle won her second HoH competition of the season called "Photographic Memory." On Day 68, Danielle nominated her fellow alliance members, Dan and Ian, for eviction. On Day 68, Danielle won her second and the final Power of Veto called "Atomic Veto." On Day 69, Danielle used the Veto to save Dan from the block and was replaced by Danielle's other close ally, Shane. Dan then blindsided Danielle yet again by casting the sole vote to evict Shane. On Day 75, Danielle was evicted by Ian, the final HOH winner, and become the last member of the jury of seven. She cast her vote Dan in an eventual 6–1 decision in favor of Ian.

Danielle was the only female to win a Head of Household during this season, making Big Brother history for being the lone contestant of a certain gender to win this power. Danielle voted for Dan to win Big Brother. Since the end of the show, Danielle has mended fences and become friends with her former coach, Dan.

After being nominated six times (Day 1 Eviction, Week 2, Week 7, 2nd half of the Week 8 Double Eviction, Week 9, and after the Final HOH), Danielle shared the record with Big Brother 3's Amy Crews Ouellette, Big Brother 9's Sharon Obermueller, and fellow houseguest Frank Eudy for the most nominations in a single season. However, all four were detained of this title when Spencer Clawson of BB15 was nominated for a total of nine times throughout the season.

Frank

Franklin "Frank" Eudy (born 1984), 31, originally from Marion, Arkansas, is unemployed and lives in Naples, Florida. He is the son of professional wrestler Sid Eudy, better known as Sid Vicious. He has described himself as a "straight-talkin' muthaf***a." Frank describes himself as gregarious, interesting and engaging. His favorite activities include going to the beach, exercising, and being around people. Frank's strategy coming into the Big Brother house was to set up a "dream team" all playing certain roles. Frank's fears are spiders and snakes. His biggest accomplishment he's most proud of is paying for his braces while he was working through college. Frank had a short term fling in the house with fellow houseguest, Ashley. He was also known for his large teddy bear (that he kept after the first house competition) whom he called "Teddy B". Mike "Boogie" Malin was his coach for the first three weeks of the game. Frank's teammates were Ian and Jenn. Frank seems to be especially close to his former coach, Boogie. Frank was formerly part of an alliance called the "Three Amigos," which included himself, Danielle and Shane. Frank was also formerly a part of "The Silent Six" alliance which also included Dan, Danielle, Britney, Shane, and Boogie. Frank was nominated for eviction on Day 5 alongside Kara, but he survived the eviction in a 5–3 vote. He then won the "Big Brother Break-In" HoH competition. Following Willie's expulsion from the game, Frank nominated JoJo and Shane for eviction, and later had to nominate Danielle after Shane used the Power of Veto on himself. JoJo was then evicted by a vote of 5–1. On Day 24, Frank was nominated as a replacement nominee for Ashley, after HoH Shane used the PoV on her. Despite being nominated during Thursday's live eviction, the eviction was later cancelled after the coaches entered the game, thus leaving Frank in the game. He was nominated for a third time on Day 28, this time next to Wil. When Danielle won the Power of Veto, however, she took Wil off the block and put up Janelle, in an attempt to backdoor her. On Day 34, Frank survived the eviction again, as Janelle was evicted by a vote of 8–1. Soon afterwards, Frank became HoH for the second time this season after winning the "Battle of the Bands" competition. On Day 36, Frank won his first Veto. On Day 42, Frank was nominated alongside his former coach, Mike. On Day 43, Frank won his second Veto of the season. On Day 48, Frank won his third Veto of the season, tying fellow housemate Shane Meaney's and James Zinkard from Big Brother 9's record of 3 consecutive Veto wins. On Day 48, Frank won the "Pull Some Strings" Head of Household competition. On Day 49, Frank won $3,000 after opening Pandora's Box. On Day 49, Frank nominated Dan and Danielle for eviction. After the Veto competition took place, Dan hosted his own funeral, getting the house guests to believe that he had accepted defeat and was going home that week. After the drama of the funeral took place, Dan then exposed his Quack Pack alliance to Frank and revealed to Frank that Ian was the one who was giving information to the Quack Pack and sold Frank and Boogie out. Dan then made a final two deal with Frank by swearing on the bible. Frank then formed a secret final four alliance with Dan, Danielle and Jenn called "Last Call Crew." Frank struck a deal with Dan and convinced his closest ally, Jenn to use the Veto in order to save Dan from the block. The plan worked when Jenn used the Veto to save Dan from the block and Frank then replaced Dan with Britney. Britney was evicted by 4–1 vote. On Day 56, Frank was nominated for the sixth time this season alongside his ally and former teammate Jenn, by his former teammate Ian. On Day 57, Dan won the Veto and used the Veto to take Jenn off the block in repayment for Jenn using the Veto to save Dan the previous week. Ian then replaced Jenn with Joe alongside Frank on the block. On Day 62, Frank was evicted by a 3–1 vote and became the third jury member of the season. He came in 7th place. Frank voted for Ian to win Big Brother. On finale night, Frank was voted as America's Favorite Houseguest and was therefore awarded $25,000.

After being nominated six times, Frank shared the record with Big Brother 3's Amy Crews Ouellette, Big Brother 9's Sharon Obermueller, and fellow houseguest Danielle Murphree for most nominations in a single season. However, all four were detained of this title when Spencer Clawson of BB15 was nominated for a seventh time in the final seven.

After winning six competitions in a single season, Frank is the first houseguest to ever achieve this feat. This would later be tied by fellow houseguest Shane Meaney, Frankie Grande and Cody Calafiore.

Despite his initial dislike of Dan, him and Dan become friends and Frank respected the way he went out in the hands of Ian and Dan, people who played the game rather than in the hands of people who didn't play the game like Joe or Danielle.

Ian

Ian Patrick Terry (born March 19, 1991), 24, originally from Salt Lake City, Utah, is an engineering student at Tulane University in New Orleans. Ian describes himself as intelligent, eccentric and analytical. His favorite activity is biking. Ian's strategy coming into the Big Brother house was to make an alliance with about six people and to be seen as the fourth strongest in the group so he wouldn't be nominated shall the other side gain power. Ian's fears are venomous snakes, large, deadly animals, vomiting and drowning. His biggest accomplishment he's most proud of is going to Tulane, far away from family and old friends, studying the hardest major he could possibly take and surviving it for three years. Mike "Boogie" Malin was his coach for the first three weeks of the game. Ian's teammates were Frank and Jenn. He is the youngest houseguest this season. Ian has been compared to Big Brother 12's Matt Hoffman, Big Brother 11's Ronnie Talbot and Big Brother 8's Eric Stein by fellow houseguest Dan. Ian is a long-time fan of the show, a superfan of Big Brother, and has listed all of the previous HouseGuests in order of eviction from each season. Will Kirby and Jeff Schroder predicted that Ian would be the winner of Big Brother 14 when giving commentary on the coaches of the season. Personality wise, Ian is seen to be extremely socially awkward, anti social, offbeat, quirky and very intelligent. In the first days, other house guests became highly annoyed by him for his social awkwardness and extreme lack of social skills, although this later seemed to change. Ian's closest allies in the house were Britney and Dan. Ian had a short term fling or show mance with fellow housemate, Ashley. Ian was given immunity the first week after his coach, Mike, won the first "coach's competition" of the season. He is often seen in the backyard playing pool. In Week 5, Ian officially jumped ship away from his team. Ian was part of an alliance with Dan, Danielle, Britney and Shane called "The Quack Pack." On Day 48, Ian won his first HOH Competition, part of a Double Eviction Week. He rocked the house by nominating his former showmance, Ashley, and his former teammate Frank. Frank won the power veto and took himself off the block, then Ian named Joe the replacement nominee resulting in Ashley's eviction on Day 48 during the double eviction. On Day 49, Ian won a Golden Ball of power (an extra Power of Veto) after Frank opened Pandora's Box. On Day 55, Ian won his second HoH competition of the season, Soak Up the Sun. On Day 56, Ian nominated his former teammates, Frank and Jenn. After winning the veto, Dan took Jen off the block, resulting in Ian naming Joe the replacement nominee. Frank was evicted on Day 62, the same day Ian was nominated for the first time this summer by Dan. However, he won his second Power of Veto soon after in the competition, Swimming With the Sharks. On Day 62, Ian won his third HOH Competition and nominated Shane and Jenn for eviction on Day 63. After Shane used the veto to take himself off the block, Ian named Danielle the replacement nominee, and Jen was evicted. On Day 68, Ian was nominated alongside Dan for eviction. On Day 69, Danielle vetoed her own nomination and nominated Shane for eviction against Ian; Dan surprised the house by voting to keep Ian. On Day 71, after throwing to Dan Part 1 of the final HOH competition, he bounced back by winning Part 2 of the HOH competition. On Day 75, Ian won the final HoH competition of the season, and in doing so he tied the record of four HoH wins in a single season with Drew Daniel, Janelle Pierzina, Hayden Moss, and Rachel Reilly. After winning the final HoH, Ian chose to evict Danielle and take Dan to the final two. During Ian and Dan's jury speeches and answering of questions, Ian and Dan turned on each other. Danielle asked Ian a jury question about whether Ian knew if Dan was actually planning to take her to the final two instead of him. This new information shocked and angered Ian. Ian had then confessed to Danielle and the rest of the jury that Dan had given Ian his late grandfather's golden cross as collateral and also swore on it that he would take Ian to the final two. After the jury votes were revealed, Ian was crowned the winner of Big Brother 14, winning by an almost unanimous vote of 6–1 (with Danielle being the sole vote for Dan).

After Big Brother, Ian became friends with Dan and Frank.

Ian's appearance on the series led to him holding several records in the series. Ian currently holds the record of being the youngest winner for the series, tied with Big Brother 1 winner Eddie McGee. He also holds the records for the most consecutive Head of Household wins, winning four HoH competitions in a row; tied the record of four HoHs in a single season; and also was the first houseguest in Big Brother history to have been given the chance to open Pandora's Box twice in a single season. In addition to the $500,000 he earned from winning the game, he also received an additional $4,000 while inside the house ($3,000 from Week 3's Coaches Competition, and $1,000 from opening Pandora's Box in Week 8.)

Janelle

Janelle Marie Pierzina (born January 10, 1980), 35, is a housewife from Lakeville, Minnesota. Janelle is married with a daughter named Violet. She previously competed in Big Brother 6 and Big Brother: All-Stars; she placed third in each and also hold the records for winning the most competitions in a single season which is 4 HoH's and 5 PoV's. Janelle also holds the record for most wins in multiple seasons which is 6 HoH's & 7 PoV's. She was the coach of Ashley, Joe, and Wil for the first three weeks of the game. On Day 14, Janelle won the coaches competition and chose to grant Ashley immunity for the week. On Day 21, Janelle won the third and final coaches competition, her second consecutive win. She chose to give Wil immunity for the week. Janelle was part of an all-girls "alliance" along with Britney, Danielle and Ashley called the "Ixie Girls." Janelle's sobriquet within the group was "Pixie." On Day 27, Janelle and the other coaches entered the game as HouseGuests. On Day 31, Janelle was the replacement nominee after Danielle decided to use the POV on Wil in attempts to backdoor Janelle as her alliance, The Silent 6, had planned. On Day 34, Janelle was evicted by an overwhelming 8–1 vote and therefore, was the first coach of the season to be evicted from the game. She is the 1st person to be evicted three times on three different seasons but the 3rd person to be evicted from the Big Brother House 3 times (first being Kaysar twice in Big Brother 6 and one more in Big Brother 7: All Stars, and the second is Brendon who was evicted once in Big Brother 12 and twice on Big Brother 13). She came in 12th place. After her eviction in Big Brother 14, Janelle also holds the record for spending the most time in the Big Brother house which is 177 days (76 days from Big Brother 6, 67 days from Big Brother 7: All Stars and 34 days from Big Brother 14).

Jenn

Jennifer "Jenn" J. Arroyo (born March 20, 1975), 40, is a musician and a former bass player for the female metal group Kittie, from Brooklyn, New York. Jenn describes herself as smart, sexy and funny. Her favorite activities are playing guitar, working out, biking, running, lifting weights and writing. Jenn's strategy coming into the Big Brother house was to be herself. Jenn's fears are roller coasters and heights. Her biggest accomplishment she's most proud of is being proud of every album she has worked on. She is of Puerto Rican descent. Jenn is openly a lesbian. Mike "Boogie" Malin was her coach for the first three weeks of the game. Jenn's former teammates were Frank and Ian. Jenn is in an alliance with Wil and Ashley, which is called "Team Tits." She is also in an all-girls alliance with Ashley, Danielle and Britney called "Chunk Bunch Tuesday." Jenn is close with Dan, Danielle, Wil, Ashley and Frank. On Day 44, Jenn was the replacement nominee for Frank. Jenn survived the eviction when Boogie was voted out by a 5–2 vote. On Day 50, Jenn won the Veto, her first competition win of the season. Jenn formed a secret final four alliance with Frank, Dan and Danielle. On Day 52, Jenn used the Veto on Dan in order to save him from the block, in which Britney was the replacement nominee afterwards. Also on Day 52, Shane realized that Jenn was actually a person playing the game, and not just a chaperone. On Day 56, Jenn was nominated alongside her former teammate and ally, Frank, by her other former teammate and HoH, Ian. On Day 59, Jenn was saved from the block by her ally, Dan and was replaced by Joe as the replacement nominee. Jenn made a final three deal with herself, Dan and Danielle. On Day 63, Jenn was nominated alongside Shane for eviction by her former teammate, Ian. On Day 65, Jenn was evicted by a unanimous 2–0 vote and became the 5th member of the jury. She came in 5th place. Jenn voted for Ian to win Big Brother.

Jodi

Jodi Rollins, 42, works part-time as a restaurant server originally from Englewood, Colorado, who resides in Calipatria, California. Jodi describes herself as funny, outdoorsy and opinionated. Her favorite activities are hiking, talking, writing, singing and laughing. Jodi's strategy coming into the Big Brother house was to let people underestimate her. Jodi's fears are snakes and roller coasters. Her biggest accomplishment she's most proud of is running the LA marathon twice and marrying her husband. Dan Gheesling was her coach. Jodi's teammates were Danielle and Kara. During the first Head of Household competition, Dan's team came in last place, meaning one member of his team would be evicted that night. Dan then cast the sole vote to evict Jodi on Day 1. She came in 16th place.

Joe

Joseph "Joe" Arvin (born 1971), 44, originally from Schererville, Indiana, is a chef residing in Lexington, Kentucky. Joe describes himself as a leader, a performer and an entertainer. His favorite activities are watching his kids play sports, compete and seeing them have the drive to win. Joe's strategy coming into the Big Brother house was to use his cooking skills to get to the end. Joe's fears are loneliness and heights. His biggest accomplishment he's most proud of is never giving up, his will to win and being a mentor to his kids. Janelle Pierzina was his coach for the first three weeks of the game. Joe's former teammates were Wil and Ashley. Joe was frequently compared to Big Brother 13's Adam Poch, namely by fellow housemates Ian and Danielle. Joe was involved in a physical confrontation with HouseGuest Willie, in which Willie head-butted Joe four times. Joe did not fight back against Willie, and therefore was not punished. Willie was later expelled from the game for his actions. On Day 21, Joe was nominated for eviction, alongside Ashley. Despite being nominated during Thursday's eviction ceremony, the eviction was later cancelled after the coaches entered the game, therefore, Joe remained in the game. On Day 35, Joe was nominated alongside former teammate, Wil. However, Joe survived once again as Wil was evicted on Day 41. Joe was in an alliance with Dan, Danielle, Shane and Britney called "Head Hunters." Joe also had an alliance with Shane. On Day 59, Joe was the replacement nominee for Jenn after Dan had used the Veto to save Jenn from the block. On Day 62, Joe was evicted by a unanimous 3–0 vote and became the 4th jury member. He came in 6th place. Joe voted for Ian to win Big Brother.

JoJo

Josephine "JoJo" Spatafora (born 1985), 21, is a bartender from Staten Island, New York. JoJo describes herself as thankful, different and sparkling. Her favorite activities are rollerblading, dancing, cooking, travelling, and ice skating. JoJo's fears are snakes, creepy crawlers, heights and the dark. She is of Sicilian descent. Britney Haynes was her coach during her time in the game. JoJo's teammates were Shane and Willie. While in the house, JoJo and Shane had a flirtatious relationship. JoJo and Shane also had a close friendship in the house. Following Willie's expulsion from the game, JoJo was nominated for eviction on Day 14, alongside Shane. Shane went on to win the Power of Veto, and used it on himself. Frank then chose to nominate Danielle for eviction. On Day 20, JoJo was evicted in a five to one vote, only receiving the only sole vote from Shane. Following her eviction, she remained in sequester with the chance of coming back should the coaches not enter the game. On Day 27, the coaches officially entered the game, and JoJo left sequester. She came in 13th place.

Kara

Kara Monaco (born February 26, 1983), 32, is a model originally from Orlando, Florida, who lives in Los Angeles. She was on the covers of the June 2005 and June 2006 issues of Playboy and was the 2006 Playboy Playmate of the Year. Kara describes herself as smart, funny and loyal. Her favorite activities are running, hiking, and yoga. Kara's strategy coming into the Big Brother house was to be great competitively and socially. Kara's fears are heights and bugs. Dan Gheesling was her coach during her time in the house. Kara's teammates were Danielle and Jodi. While in the house, Kara had a close friendship with Wil, and also got along well with her teammate, Danielle. On Day 5, Kara was nominated for eviction alongside Frank. On Day 13, Kara was evicted by a five to three vote. Following her eviction, she remained in sequester with the chance of coming back should the coaches not enter the game. On Day 27, the coaches officially entered the game, and Kara left sequester. She came in 15th place.

Mike

Mike "Boogie" Malin (born July 16, 1970), 44, is a restaurateur in West Hollywood. He placed 8th in Big Brother 2 and was the winner of Big Brother: All-Stars. He is the oldest houseguest of this season. Mike is known as being a member of the most infamous Big Brother alliance, Chilltown, which also included Dr. Will Kirby. Mike is a longtime rival and enemy of Janelle, as well as an outside friend of Dan. He was the coach of Frank, Ian, and Jenn for the first three weeks of the game. Mike won the first Coaches Competition and used his power to protect Ian from eviction that week. On Day 27, Mike and the other three coaches entered the game as HouseGuests, though when the coaches were offered the chance he was the only one to decline (it only took one vote from one coach to put them all in the game). Mike is especially close with his player, Frank. Mike was a part of "The Silent Six" alliance which also included Dan, Danielle, Shane, Britney, and Frank. However, the alliance showed distrust early on as Mike, as well as Frank, considered backdooring Dan the following week. On Day 42, Mike was nominated alongside his former player, Frank. When Frank won the Power of Veto, Shane put up Boogie's former team mate in the beginning, Jenn. On Day 48, Mike was evicted by a 5–2 vote, making him the second coach to be evicted this season. He came in 10th place.

Shane

Shane Meaney (born 1985), 29, is a house flipper originally from Bennington, Vermont. Shane describes himself as passionate, funny and honest. His favorite activities include working out, renovating houses, hitting golf balls off his deck in the woods, and spending time with his friends and family. Shane's strategy coming into the Big Brother house was to make friends with people in the house while maintaining his competitive nature and also, to have fun. Shane's fears are failure, mice, and drowning. His biggest accomplishment he's most proud of is graduating Pre-Med with a 3.8 GPA. Shane is a college graduate of Lydon State College and he graduated Pre-Med. He is the owner of Quality Home Investments real estate. Shane is also a fitness model and trainer. He owns Explosive Performance Fitness. Shane was the 2010 Cosmo Bachelor for Vermont and he was frequently referred to as Mr. Vermont, Mr. Vermont 2010, Mr. Cosmo, or Mr. Cosmopolitan by his fellow house guests. Shane's nickname given to him by his fellow housemates was Capt. America. This nickname was given to Shane because aside from his handsome, good looks, athleticism and his competitive nature, the house guests felt as though Shane was being given the hero edit or role of the season. Shane's strategy coming into the Big Brother house was to hide his true occupation and tell everyone that he was a beer and wine salesman who did some personal training on the side. Britney Haynes was his coach for the first three weeks of the game. Shane's former teammates were JoJo and Willie. Shane had flirtatious relationship with several women in the house, mainly Danielle, JoJo, and Kara. Shane is very close with Danielle and was Danielle's closest ally in the house. Despite the pair just being friends and allies in the house, they were often seen as a "flirtmance" or even a "showmance" by some of the other house guests, namely Dan, Ian, Britney, Joe, Frank, and Jenn. Shane and Danielle's relationship or show mance has been compared to Big Brother 11's Jeff Schroeder and Jordan Lloyd and Big Brother 12's Brendon Villegas and Rachel Reilly by some viewers. Shane was liked by mostly every houseguest and therefore, had amicable relationships with everyone in the house. Although closest to Danielle, Shane also had friendships and bonds with JoJo, Britney, Joe and Frank. Shane has been compared to Big Brother 11's Jeff Schroeder, most notably by fellow houseguest Dan, who once referred to Shane as "Jeff Schroeder 2.0." Shane has personally compared himself to Big Brother 12 and Big Brother 13's Brendon Villegas. Shane was a part of an alliance called "The Three Amigos" (the very first official alliance of the season outside of the teams) which consisted of himself, Frank and Danielle. Shane was part of a strong core alliance called SQuad, which consisted of himself, Britney, Danielle and Dan. Shane was part of "The Silent Six" alliance which also included Dan, Danielle, Britney, Frank and Boogie. However, the alliance was short-lived as the alliance of Britney, Dan, Danielle, and Shane decided to nominate Frank and Boogie for eviction two weeks prior to the creation of the "Silent Six." Shane is also a part of an alliance called "The Quack Pack," which also includes Dan, Danielle, Britney and Ian. Shane is a part of an alliance with Danielle, Dan, Britney, and Joe called the "Head Hunters." On Day 7, Shane won the first Power of Veto competition, and chose to leave nominations the same. On Day 14, he was nominated for eviction with JoJo. The following day, however, he won his second consecutive Power of Veto competition, and removed himself from the block. On Day 20, Shane became the third Head of Household of the season, after winning the "On Thin Ice" competition. He later chose to nominate Ashley and Joe for eviction. On Day 22, Shane won his third consecutive Power of Veto. He is the second person in Big Brother US history to achieve this. The first person to achieve this was Big Brother 9's James Zinkard. Shane's fellow houseguest, Frank Eudy, is the third person to achieve this. On Day 24, Shane removed Ashley off the block and replaced her with his ally, Frank, intending to backdoor him. However, on Day 27, his plan was foiled, as the coaches entered the game, the live eviction was cancelled and the game was reset. Shane won his second HoH competition "Swamped" on Day 41. He nominated Frank and Boogie for eviction on Day 42. But when Frank won the Power of Veto and took himself off of the block, Shane, the Head of Household of that week, put up Jenn, who was Frank's former teammate and Boogie's former player, as a replacement nominee for Frank. On Day 63, Shane was nominated for eviction alongside Jenn. On Day 64, Shane won his fourth Power of Veto of the season. On Day 66, Shane used the Power of Veto on himself and took himself off the block. On Day 69, Shane was blindsided and evicted by the sole vote of his fellow alliance member, Dan after Danielle put him up as a replacement nominee after Danielle decided to save Dan from the block with the Veto. Shane became the second member of the Quack Pack alliance to be evicted and became the 6th jury member. He came in 4th place. Shane voted for Ian to win Big Brother. Shane is the second houseguest to win the Power of Veto in all three situations (as HoH, as a nominee, and as a person picked to play). The first houseguest to do so was Big Brother 8's and 13's Daniele Donato. He also competed in every POV competition except for the OTEV veto competition in Week 8.

Wil

William "Wil" Heuser (born 1987), 27, is a marketing consultant from Louisville, Kentucky. Wil describes himself as funny, unique and brash. His favorite activities are running, biking, and lunching with good friends. Wil's strategy coming into the Big Brother house was to not tell the other houseguests his true profession, to play the nice guy role and to let alliances form first and then manipulate his way into control of the game. Wil's fears are snakes and bananas. His biggest accomplishment he's most proud of is his career, traveling the world, meeting amazing people and never letting the word no stop him. Wil is openly gay. Janelle Pierzina was his coach for the first three weeks of the game. Wil's former teammates were Ashley and Joe. Wil had a close friendship with Kara before her eviction and was also close with Joe and Danielle. Although they initially got along quite well, Wil and Janelle began to plot against each other, with Wil feeling like Janelle saw him as a weak, useless player. Because of this, Wil developed a strong dislike for his former coach and plotted to get her evicted from the house. On Day 21, Janelle won the third coaches competition of the season, and chose to give Wil immunity for the week. Wil was nominated for eviction for the first time on Day 28, along with Frank. However, Danielle used the POV on Wil and replaced him with Wil's former coach, Janelle. Wil is in an alliance with Jenn and Ashley, called "Team Tits." On Day 35, Wil was nominated alongside former teammate, Joe. On Day 41, he was evicted by a 6–2 vote. He came in 11th place.

Willie

William "Willie" Hantz (born 1977), 37, is a tankerman from Vinton, Louisiana, who resides in Dayton, Texas. He is the younger brother of former Survivor contestant, Russell Hantz, and also the uncle of Brandon who also participated in Survivor. Willie describes himself as serious, hostile and docile. His favorite activities are gambling and strip clubs. Willie's strategy coming into the Big Brother house was to make as much confusion in the house in order to take the attention off of him. His biggest accomplishment he's most proud of are his two children. Britney Haynes was his coach for the season. Willie's teammates were JoJo and Shane. Willie became known for his blow-ups in the house, and had altercations with Frank, Janelle, and Joe before his expulsion. On Day 1, Britney's team won the first Head of Household competition, and she made Willie the first HoH of the season. He nominated Frank and Kara for eviction. On Day 14, Willie went on a rampage, head-butting Joe and throwing pork rinds at Janelle after she picked him to be a have-not for the week. He was expelled from the Big Brother house minutes later. Just days after returning home from the Big Brother house, he was arrested for driving under the influence. He has since been released from custody. He came in 14th place.
