Frederick "Fred" Talbot is a professional rugby league footballer of the 1930s, playing at representative level for Wales, and at club level for Huddersfield, as a Second-row, i.e. number 11 or 12, during the era of contested scrums.[1]

Fred Talbot won a cap for Wales while at Huddersfield in 1935.[2]

Challenge Cup final appearances

Fred Talbot played Right-Second-row, i.e. number 12 in Huddersfield's 21–17 victory over Warrington in the 1933 Challenge Cup final during the 1932–33 season at Wembley Stadium, London on Saturday 6 May 1933.[3] and played Loose forward/Lock in Huddersfield's 8-11 defeat by Castleford in the 1935 Challenge Cup final during the 1934–35 season at Wembley Stadium, London on Saturday 4 May 1935.[4][5]
