Buck, who as of 2010 still runs it, now under the auspices of the George H. Buck, Jr. Foundation, dedicated to the preservation great jazz recordings. Jazzology is both its own label and the umbrella used for the Foundation labels, including GHB Records, Audiophile Records and Black Swan Records. At the end of the 1960s Jazzology acquired Southland Records and about 1990 American Music Records, in order to ensure the recordings remained in print and available. They also publish books and videos.

Jazzology has yet to make significant strides into digital distribution.
