The Generika Lifesavers are a professional women's volleyball team owned by Erikagen, Inc. (Generika Drugstore) that is playing in the Philippine Super Liga (PSL).
Contents
History
Erikagen, Inc. first became involved in the PSL when it sponsored the Philippine Army Lady Troopers during the 2014 All-Filipino Conference, playing as the "Generika-Army Lady Troopers". For the following conference, the company formed its own team composed of the coaching staff and most of the players from the disbanded AirAsia Flying Spikers.[1] The franchise did not participate during the 2015 season and remnants of the team went on to form the nucleus of the Shopinas.com Lady Clickers.
The company is expected to reactivate its PSL participation during the 2016 All-Filipino Conference with a new lineup. It will get the second pick in the draft order during the 2016 PSL draft scheduled on May 27, 2016.[2]
