Georg Heinrich Thiessen

Georg Heinrich Thiessen (January 19, 1914 – July 3, 1961) was a German astronomer.

He worked at Hamburg Observatory.

His life ended in a frontal collision automobile accident.

The crater Thiessen on the Moon is named after him.
