George Mayers

The Very Rev. George Samuel Mayers[1] was Dean of Lismore [2] from 1913 until[3] 1919[4] and Dean of Waterford from 1919.

He was educated at Trinity College, Dublin and began his ecclesiastical career with a curacy in Clonegal. He held incumbencies at Tubrid, Killaloan[5] and Dungarvan. He was Canon and Treasurer of Waterford Cathedral from 1901.
