Gitmo on the Platte

Gitmo on the Platte, a "Temporary Arrestee Processing Center", is the colloquial name for a warehouse in Denver, CO, that was used to hold mass-arrested protesters during the 2008 Democratic National Convention which was held at the Pepsi Center in Denver from August 25 to August 28, 2008.
The following was in use at the facility:
- Chain link metal cages topped with barbed wire
- Electric stun devices
Treatment of detainees:
- Prisoners were denied phone calls and access to attorneys.
- Prisoners were kept hand-cuffed in pairs; even after they were put in cells and even when using the restroom.
