Godwin Bradbeer (born 1950 in Dunedin, New Zealand), is a New Zealand-born artist now living and working in Australia whose work has evolved from his pioneering photo-media (incorporating photography, drawing and painting) to pure drawing.

Career

After studies in Melbourne for a Bachelor of Education in 1984 Bradbeer earned a Master of Arts in fine art painting in 1994. He has lectured since 1985 in Melbourne, Australia and exhibited worldwide with many solo exhibitions since 1977.[1] In 1995 he was appointed as resident artist at the National Gallery of Victoria. Bradbeer was the winner of the Dobell Drawing Prize (Art Gallery of New South Wales) in 1998. He is represented in all major Australian public and private art collections. Bradbeer is currently teaching at the Academy of Design Australia in the Visual Arts program.
