Gray Claw Is a Webcomic by Super Prumo comics and available on the Arkhaven Comics platform Arktoons under Gray Claw

History

Originally published from 1937 to 1939 in the comic supplement for the São Paulo newspaper, A Gazeta, daily comic board A Gazetinha. Grey Claw incorporated early elements of comic horror, with violence, mystery, and detective plots mixed in. The original comics were written under a pseudonym "Francisco Armond" for Brazilian Poet and journalist Helena Ferraz de Abreu, and drawn by Renato Silva. The comic was published for a second run 1975 in Gibi Nostalgia, a magazine launched by Rio Gráfica Editora (RGE). In 2021 it was announced as a crowdfunding project by Brazilian comics label Super Prumo[1]. It was announced that it would be on Arktoons on July, 3rd, 2021[2]

Premise

Not a reboot but a continuation of the story in a modern setting. Vaccine mutants and overwhelming social manipulation via social media are common place as terrorist attacks begin occurring on the centers of corporate power in the world. From the Arktoons title page description:

In 1937, the original Gray Claw hit the pages of Sao Paulo's most famous newspaper, A Gazeta. Now, 82 years later, he is back with his unique blend of mystery, violence, and detective skills.[3]

Setting

Gray Claw is set in a Dystopian near future where corporate social media spies and manipulates every aspect of people lives. Medical tyranny is common place and people are assigned residences in exchange for work.
