Green Desert (16th April 1983 - 9th September 2015) was one of the most influential British Thoroughbred racehorse sires of the past 25 years.
Standing at Shadwell Stud, Green Desert was the sire of four Champion Sprinters and seventy-two individual Stakes winners. Best known for his sons, Oasis Dream, Invincible Spirit and Cape Cross who in turn sired both the 2004 and 2006 European Horse of the Year, Ouija Board, and Sea the Stars.
