Air Vice Marshal Gregory Agboneni was a Nigerian soldier and fighter pilot for the Nigerian Airforce who was Military Administrator of Adamawa State and then Cross River State between December 1993 and August 1996 during the military regime of Head of State General Sani Abacha.[2] He was also the Commander of the Order of Niger.

AVM Gregory has a degree in Aeronautics and masters in strategic studies. He is also a winner of the British R.A.F Andover Award

In January 2001, Gregory Agboneni and former Chief of the General Staff and former Vice President, Lt-General Oladipo Diya were named at a Commission in Port Harcourt as having allegedly tried to forestall prosecution of an influential member of the executive council, Usani Uguru Usani, for a murder committed in May 1996.[3]
