  • Prince Regent was a 16-gun ship launched in 1812 for Canada's Provincial Marine. She was re-rigged as a schooner and renamed Beresford (or General Beresford) in 1813, re-rigged again as a brig and renamed HMS Netley in 1814 when the Royal Navy took over the Provincial Marine, Admiralty policy being not to name vessels after living people, and then HMS Niagara in 1848 while she was serving as a base ship. She was broken up in 1843.
