The Hampton Luxury Liner is a private, for-profit bus company originally based in Bridgehampton, New York. Founded in 2001, the company's primary business is a line run between Manhattan, and The Hamptons, between Southampton, and Amagansett.

The Hampton Jitney, along with its Hampton Ambassador division, is the Luxury Liner's main competitor, along with the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR).

Services

The Luxury Liner commenced operations as an up-market, first class style of service, but today runs with a more traditional 2-2 configuration. A galley is featured on all buses and guests are able to help themselves to snacks and bottled water. All Luxury Liner buses feature movie service as well. The Hampton Jitney runs a first class service known as Ambassador Service, and that company has increased this service to compete with the Luxury Liner. During the peak summer season, the Long Island Rail Road offers extra fare reserve seat service, branded, Hampton Reserve, on its popular Friday express train, The Cannonball.

On March 15, 2009, the company announced a re-launch of its service featuring a brand new bus fleet offering perks like DirecTV service, electric outlets at all seats, and wireless internet.

Acquisition

On February 21, 2009 it was announced that Classic Coach Bus Company of Bohemia, New York will purchase the Hampton Luxury Liner. Classic Coach continues to operate the service under the Luxury Liner brand, but moved its headquarters to Classic Coach's depot in Bohemia. Classic Coach stated that it will increase service to run on an hourly frequency, though this change has not yet occurred.

Classic Coach, which also owns 7Bus (formerly BoltBus Long Island), occasionally interchanges 7Bus-branded coaches with Luxury Liner vehicles depending on availability and maintenance.

Operations

Hampton Luxury Liner line buses require advance reservations and payment, either via phone or online, and passengers check in with the driver upon boarding.

Charter and special group services are also featured.
