Heterochromis multidens is a species of cichlid fish endemic to the Congo River Basin in Central Africa. It is the only member of its genus, and the only member of the subfamily Heterochromidinae. This species is likely more closely related to cichlids from the Americas rather than other African cichlids.[2] It can reach a total length of 29.5 cm (11.6 in).[3]
