Hirving Rodrigo Lozano Bahena (born 30 July 1995) is a Mexican footballer who plays for Liga MX club Pachuca and the Mexico national team.[2]

Club career

Hirving Lozano joined Pachuca in 2009 as part of its youth team. Lozano made his Liga MX debut on 8 February 2014 against América, in which he scored the winning goal a few minutes after his substitution. Also due to his impressive recent performances has become a talent many Europe clubs sides are keen on acquiring[3]

International career

Mexico U20

Lozano was called up to the under-20 national team which participated in the 2015 CONCACAF U-20 Championship. In the first game against Cuba, he scored a brace and added 4 assists in Mexico's 9–1 win, placing them first in their group. He went on to score 3 more goals and notched another assist in the tournament. He finished as the Golden Boot winner with 5 goals, tied with United States midfielder Romain Gall. Mexico went on to win the CONCACAF Under-20 Championship, the 13th title for the country, and earned a berth U-20 World Cup in New Zealand.

Mexico U23

On 18 September 2015, Lozano was selected by coach Raul Gutierrez to play in the CONCACAF Olympic Qualifying Championship, which Mexico ultimately won.

Mexico national team

Lozano received his first senior call-up to the national team in February 2016 under Mexico national team coach, Juan Carlos Osorio. On February 10, 2016, Lozano earned his first cap for Mexico as a starter in the international friendly match against Senegal. Mexico won the match 2-0 at Marlins Park in Miami, Florida as Lozano completed the full 90 minutes.[4] On March 25, 2016, Lozano scored his first international goal for Mexico in the 39' minute of the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying third round match against Canada at BC Place Stadium in Vancouver, British Columbia. The match ended 3-0 in favor of Mexico.[5]
