Hochheim am Main (or simply Hochheim) is a town in the Main-Taunus district of the state of Hessen, Germany. It is located near the right bank of the Main River three miles above the branch into the Rhine, as well as on the German Timber-Frame Road.

Historical reference to Hochheim can be found, in the chronicles, as early as the 8th century. Hochheim is the site of an Austrian military victory over the French Empire on November 7, 1813.

Located in the Rheingau, Hochheim has historically been a center of trade in wine. The English word Hock, a generic term for Rhine wine, is derived from Hochheim.

Children of Hochheim attend school in Hochheim until the 10th grade. After 10th grade if they choose to continue with a gymnasium, they have to attend schools outside of Hochheim in Wiesbaden or Mainz. Hochheim's sister city is Le Pontet and Waupaca, Wisconsin
