Holmewood House School is an IAPS independent, co-educational preparatory school for boys and girls aged 3–13, located in Langton Green, near Tunbridge Wells, Kent.

History
Founded in 1945, Holmewood House School occupies a Decimus Burton mansion first built in 1827 and set in 32 acres (130,000 m2). The school began as an all-boys' preparatory school; co-education started in 1989 and there are now approximately 440 pupils.

Academic
Pupils are prepared for entry to senior independent schools at age thirteen, through Common Entrance or Scholarship examinations, as well as for entry to local maintained schools at eleven. The main destination schools are Tonbridge School, the King's School (Canterbury), Eastbourne College, Sevenoaks School and Benenden School.
Music, drama, art, sport and activities
Music groups include several choirs, orchestras, wind and jazz ensembles, a swing band and chamber groups.
Drama performances take place during most terms. The school is a centre for LAMDA and many pupils take their exams.
Art and Design Technology Departments use a wide range of two- and three-dimensional media, from gouache and watercolours to silk screen and digital photography.
Major sports include rugby, football, hockey, cricket, netball and rounders. School teams compete in local and national events, including IAPS tournaments. Other sports and activities include shooting, pop lacrosse, squash, table tennis, judo, indoor hockey, swimming, archery and gymnastics, art, drama, music, design technology, ballet, modern dance, ICT, maths, needlework, chess and cookery.
