Hunter Synagogue is a historic Jewish synagogue on Main Street in Hunter, Greene County, New York. It was constructed between 1909 and 1914 and is a 2 12-story, three-by-seven-bay, Queen Anne–inspired building. Also on the property is a shed built about 1910.[2]

It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1999.[1]

The latest Rabbi was an Orthodox Rabbi Schildkraut.

When Rabbi Shildkraurt z"l came to serve as the full-time Rav for this local Synagogue, he requested from the President and the board members of the Congregation, to build him a Mikveh, which was built in his house (which is these days a pizza shop).

He was accompanied by The Tzehlimer Rav, Harav Levi Yitzchok Greenwald, zt”l (http://www.hamodia.com/inthepaper.cfm?ArticleID=549), when he built the Mikveh, along with the students/bochurim of the Tzehlimer Yeshiva, The Tzehlimer Rav was sending his students/bochurim for Minyan for the Shabbat.
