Huzhu Tu Autonomous County

The autonomous county of the Tu nationality Huzhu (Chinese: 互助土族自治县; pinyin: Hùzhù Tǔzú zìzhìxiàn), in short just Huzhu County (Chinese: 互助县; pinyin: Hùzhù Xiàn), is an autonomous district in the administrative Haidong district in the eastern part of the Chinese province of Qinghai. It has an area of 3,321 km² and approximately 370,000 inhabitants (2004). Its capital is the town of Weiyuan (威远镇).

The monastery of Chuzang (Tibetan: ཆུ་བཟང་། Wylie: chu bzang; Chinese: 却藏寺 pinyin: Quezang Si), located in Nanmenxia village some 20 km northwest of Huzhu county seat, is listed as a national monument of the People's Republic of China (since 2006).

The Xining Caojiabao Airport (IATA: XNN, ICAO: ZLXN) which serves Xining, capital of Qinghai Province, is located in the county.
