The IMM Graduate School of Marketing (IMM GSM) is a privately owned marketing school with headquarters in Johannesburg, South Africa.

It is an open and distance learning institution which offers internationally accredited qualifications. It forms partnerships in Africa and elsewhere to produce marketing executives. IMM’s roots go back over 60 years,[1] which makes it a well established graduate school.

The Graduate School's national office is in Johannesburg, and there are regional offices in Cape Town (Western Cape), Durban (KwaZulu-Natal), and Harare (Zimbabwe). Many of the Additional Tuition Centers are Institutions of Higher Education in their own right but offer additional tuition to students who wish to supplement their IMM GSM studies with additional tuition.

Potential students need a school-leaving qualification that would entitle them to enter a university or college in their own country.

Accreditation

The IMM GSM is registered with the South African Department of Education, and is accredited by the Council on Higher Education (CHE). The IMM Graduate School of Marketing (IMM GSM) is registered with the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) as a private higher institution under the Higher Education Act, 1997 Registration Certificate No. 2000/HE07/013 .

The South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) registers all courses. The highest qualification currently offered by the IMM GSM is the BPhil Marketing Management and is submitted under NQF[2] level 8[3] (Professional Qualification / Honours Degree / Post Graduate Certificate).

International recognition

Because all IMM GSM qualifications are rated on the South African NQF system. UKNARIC recognizes the qualifications and compare them to specific levels with the UK education system.

IMM Diploma and Degree holders automatically get entry to the Chartered Institute of Marketing Professional Postgraduate Diploma qualification.
