Immofinanz AG is an Austrian property development company based in Vienna that operates in Eastern and Central Europe. As of October 2015, it is a member of the Austrian Traded Index (ATX), the index of the twenty largest companies traded on the Viennese stock exchange.[1] 'Immo' is short for Immobilien, German for property. The company has a headquarters in Vienna with offices in Cologne and the respective capitals of the Czech Republic, Poland, Romania, Russia and Slovakia.[2] In Poland the company operates a number of shopping centres under the brand 'VIVO!'.[3]

The company formerly owned a large number of logistics facilities, which it sold in 2015 to Blackstone Group.[4][5]

Immofinanz has been involved in a series of negotiations regarding a takeover or merger with its fellow ATX member CA Immo, also a property development company.[6][7][8] Merger negotiations failed in 2014, as did an acrimonious takeover bid by CA Immo in spring 2015.[9][10][11][12] It has since expressed interest in resuming negotiations.[13][14]
