While I love this lounge concept, I'd also like to propose another arena for discussions, solving one planetary problem at a time. (After all, much of the reason for an alternative to the mainstream media echo chamber called Wikipedia is political.) New political forum area potential names:

Reading interest falsification
Hello editors and researchers. I was wondering if anyone wanted to share books which they have bought or rented from the library for which you felt uncomfortable telling others that you were reading? In other words, have you ever had the experience when someone asked what book(s) you were currently reading and you lied to make that moment easier for both parties?
I'll start:
Several times when I was currently reading On Suicide by Emile Durkheim as well when I was reading Mein Kampf (we all know the author). The first title makes everyone think you're going to kill yourself, and the latter book makes everyone think you're a Nazi. If you told someone you were reading both at the same time then you would be in real trouble.
Dentist: What did you do over the weekend?
Me: Oh, I didn't do much. I was just reading most of the time.
Dentist, scraping the inside of my mouth making it almost impossible to utter syllables: That's interesting, what books are you into?
Me: Uh, well, so, um. It's about institutions.
Dentist: Oh.
