After the Iranian Revolution of 1979, the Iranzamin School moved to the Kingdom of Spain and was renamed as the International College Spain (ICS), with its first location in Estepona. Thereafter, it moved to Madrid. Mrs. Sahakian, its foremost and iconic professor, was located at this campus in Spain. The school had an international student body, among whom were many students of Iranian origin, having left Iran due to the upheaval of the 1979 Islamic Revolution.
