Izates I

Izates I was king of Adiabene around the year 15 CE. Very little is known about him with any degree of certainty. He was the father of Helena of Adiabene and Monobaz I (Flavius Josepus, Antiquities of the Jews, Book 20, Chapter 2 et seq.).
