Jason Bailey (born June 4, 1987) is a Canadian-American former professional ice hockey player. The highest level Bailey played was in the American Hockey League (AHL) for the Iowa Chops and the Binghamton Senators. Bailey was drafted by Mighty Ducks of Anaheim in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft and later traded to the Ottawa Senators.

Playing career
Bailey was selected by Mighty Ducks of Anaheim in the third round (63rd overall) of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft. He turned professional for the 2008–09 season and played 35 regular season games and two playoff games in the ECHL with the Bakersfield Condors registering two assists and 44 penalty minutes. He also played two games in AHL with the Iowa Chops.
On September 4, 2009 the Anaheim Ducks traded Bailey to the Ottawa Senators for Shawn Weller. Bailey was assigned to the Binghamton Senators for the 2009–10 AHL season where he played in 62 regular-season games, scoring seven points with 78 penalty minutes. Bailey remained with the Senators for the 2010-11 AHL season where the club went on to win the Calder Cup. Although Bailey did not play a post-season game with the team, he received a championship ring and was said to be a huge locker-room presence by captain Ryan Keller.[1]
Jason Bailey announced his retirement from hockey in September 2011.[1]
Lawsuit
On January 25, 2011, NBC Sports reported that Bailey, who is Jewish, had filed a lawsuit against the Ducks' organization alleging "a barrage of antisemitic, offensive and degrading verbal attacks" by members of the coaching staff of the Bakersfield Condors (a Ducks' minor league affiliate).[2] Bailey engaged attorney Keith Fink, who initiated a lawsuit against Condors' head coach Marty Raymond, former assistant coach Mark Pederson, the Ducks and the Condors for damages.[3][4] On January 27, ESPN.com released details of court documents filed by Fink and reported that the NHL is also now investigating.[5] Documents filed with the Superior Court of Kern County on November 4, 2011, indicated that counsel for Bailey voluntarily filed a request to have the Court dismiss all claims of religious discrimination against the team. The pending dismissal comes without a settlement of any kind for Bailey, the Condors said.[6]
