Jennifer Abshire (née Scarpetta) (born November 20, 1977) is an American professional female bodybuilder.[1]

Early life and education
Jennifer Abshire was born in 1977 in Aurora, Illinois. She was a cheerleader in high school and during her senior year she started to lift weights a bit to get stronger to catch the girls in the basket toss.[2]
Figure career
Amateur
Abshire started lifted casually for 10 years before she got serious about nutrition and strength training. Her physique started to take the appearance of a figure competitor, and during show season, she kept getting asked when she was competing.[2]
Retirement
After one year as competing in figure, Abshire switched to bodybuilding.[2]

Bodybuilding career
Amateur
During her amateur career, Abshire would come in first place in every weight category she competed in. After winning the light-heavy weight category at the 2010 USA Championships, she qualified for her IFBB pro card.[1]
Professional
In 2013, Abshire won the 2013 Toronto Pro Supershow and qualified for her first Ms. Olympia. At the 2013 Ms. Olympia, she placed fourth place.[1]

Personal life
Abshire currently lives in Lafayette, Louisiana.[5] She is bisexual.[6] On August 16, 2013, just prior to the 2013 Ms. Olympia, she married her girlfriend Megan Abshire,[7] who is also an amateur bodybuilder.[8] She had previously been married to Jason Scarpetta.[2]
