Jetcost’s products are available across more than 30 countries, with a strong position in Europe, South America and Asia.
Jetcost is a metasearch website, allowing customers to search and compare prices on flights, hotels and car hire. Jetcost provides a comprehensive list of all the available travel deals, after which users are automatically transferred to the airline or online travel agency’s website to complete their booking. Acting as an intermediary, Jetcost does not directly sell flights or travel products on the website.
Thanks to significant growth in France,[1] Jetcost has a particularly strong position in the French market and is already well established in other markets such as Italy, Germany and Spain. Since 2013 Jetcost has been a brand of the Bravofly Rumbo Group,[2] a company listed on the SIX Swiss Exchange.[3]
History
Jetcost was founded in 2006 in Paris, France, and was one of the first travel meta-search websites on the French market. Initially specialising only in the comparison of airline tickets, by the end of 2006 Jetcost was ready to roll out new travel products: car hire, hotel, package holidays and other travel and leisure products and services.
In 2007 the company started to expand into new markets, focusing on Southern European countries such as Spain, Portugal, Italy, and later Germany and the UK. At the end of 2013 Jetcost [4] was acquired by Bravofly Rumbo Group.[5]
