John C. McCullough

John C. McCullough (1858 – February 28, 1920) was Attorney General of California. Prior to that, he served on the California State Assembly, 5th district.

Career

McCullough mainly focused his efforts to regain the state’s possession of swamplands that were owned by private individuals and corporations. The swamplands that McCullough wanted the state to own were located beneath San Francisco Bay.[1]

Death

John C. McCullough died on February 28, 1920 in Los Angeles, California at age 62.[1]
