John Franklin Mitchell (August 9, 1894 in Detroit, Michigan – November 4, 1965 in Birmingham, Michigan), is a former professional baseball player who played shortstop from 1921 to 1925.

He was the manager of the Nashua Millionaires in the New England League for part of the 1926 season.

Six years after he was retired, Mitchell died of a heart attack at a nursing home on November 4, 1965. He was survived by his daughter, Beatrice Rogers.[1]
