History

In 2003, brothers, Ryan Clark and Don Clark (Formerly of Training for Utopia) recruited Dunn, Jesse Sprinkle, and Kris McCaddon to join their project, Demon Hunter. Dunn's and McCaddon's Demon Hunter debut was Summer of Darkness. In 2005, Sprinkle and McCaddon left Demon Hunter and were replaced by Timothy "Yogi" Watts formerly of The Lonely Hearts, and Ethan Luck formerly of Project 86 and The O.C. Supertones. In 2006, Demon Hunter's third album,The Triptych, was released. It was a bigger hit than Summer of Darkness. In 2007, Storm the Gates of Hell was recorded and released.

They embarked on the headling tour called the "Stronger than Hell" tour along with bands such as The Famine (The band McCaddon started after leaving), and the Christian metal band, Living Sacrifice. In 2009, Don Clark and Ethan Luck left the band. Don quit his musical carrier, and Ethan went on to drum for Relient K.

They were replaced by Patrick Judge and Ryan Helm, formerly of The Ascendicate. In 2010, one of their heaviest albums, titled The World Is a Thorn, was released. Soon after this, Helm left the band, and was replaced by Jeremiah Scott of The Showdown. The albums, True Defiance (2012) and Extremist (2014) were released with this current line-up.

In 2012, Dunn replaced Jeff Bowie, who left to start Descended From Wolves, the original official bassist for the Christian metal band, Soul Embraced. In 2013, his Soul Embraced debut album, Mythos, was released, with guest vocals from Living Sacrifice vocalist, Bruce Fitzhugh.
